@robert-e2339 Which version of Sound Forge do you have? Sound Forge Audio Cleaning Lab is made for removing noise in recording and has special tools to do so. Sound Forge Audio Studio and Pro are different programs but the Pro version comes with a Noise Reduction bundle.

But it's always hard to tell, if this will help against intense wind noise. You might want to try a combination of a low pass filter and a high pass filter to remove the low rumble and high white noise created by the wind.

There are also free audio cleaning tools as VST plugins available, for example the Accusonus Era Bundle. You can get it from archive.org. It went freeware after Facebook bought the developers, better said it went "abandonware" because the developers removed the DRM and released it without further updates before shutting the servers down.

I have Sound Forge 16 it looks like? I am uploading my You-Tube link so you can see the clip. At 30 seconds it gets bad. Really want to fix this. I also have Spectra layers 9 but this program is way out of my league!!

Any detailed help would be greatly appreciated. I though the clip would help. Clip is in 4K.

Thanks Bob

@robert-e2339 Oh, that is BADLY distorted over the complete spectrum from low to high frequencies.

I would suggest to replace it, for example with this here: https://www.freetousesounds.com/ocean-sound-effects/

So that is so bad not worth fixing??? So, delete sound from my track and paste in one of the tracks from the link you sent??

Is it safe to download and worth it to pay the $5.00 for more ocean sounds????

Thanks

It looks like some of this is a subscription and maybe some you can buy out right??

@robert-e2339 I never paid for a subscription.

You can also get the complete package for $30 like I did some years ago. It's made by a pair that travels the world and they finance their trip by selling the recordings.

They also have a YouTube channel. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCC-5pBNAgClrz1VwO1p-ldw

They sell the bundles on Gumroad https://ftus.gumroad.com/l/allinonebundle/ or Bandcamp https://freetousesounds.bandcamp.com/ as well.

Gumroad might be the most convenient platform.
