Remove start of song and also remove part of middle

Hello. I am having trouble doing what I think are basic tasks. I can't seem to cut out the 6 or 7 second beginning to a song. Could someone please show the steps to accomplish this. (in simple steps, please.)

Also I would like to delete some of the middle of this same song, but can't figure out how to do it.

I am using Audio & Cleaning Lab 2014 Premium.

Thank you in advance for any help for my problem. victor1244

Hi,

Use the scissors. Place the playback marker where you want to cut (you can zoom in on the timeline to help) and the click on the scissors. I think that the shortcut T also works. Select the part that you want to remove, Delete. Drag the other part(s) to the left to fill in the gap. Same in the middle, put a cut on each side of what you want to cut out and then select the part to cut and delete it.

You should read the manual because this is just a very basic editing task and there is much, much more to the program. Start with the first part of the manual, Quick Start I believe. This will save you a lot of headache and time.
