Ever since Magix bought Sound Forge, when I launch the app I get a sales window pop-up--very annoying.
How do I remove it?
It is indeed! You can disable it by going to preferences and disabling "Use Net Notify..." in the "General Tab"

ReverandLove's solution works, but it's not really a fix to this issue.
I want to see the notification in case there's an update that's available. Rather than disabling it in the settings, I would prefer having a selection in the Notification to either dismiss that particular message (permanently), or set it to remind me again -- if it's a release update that's available for instance but I cannot get to it right away.
In Sound Forge Pro 11, I am getting a Net Notify for Vegas Movie Studio now every single time I open Sound Forge Pro 11, which is often and goes back to roughly the beginning of March.
It am not having this issue with Vegas Pro 14 where Net Notify is also enabled in the Preferences.
This is a bug in my opinion that Magix needs to address.
I've only gotten it one time!
