Hi

If the fisheye effect is a result of barrel distortion in the lens then AFAIK in a video it cannot be removed/corrected in MEP.  If the distortion is only very close to the edge of the video clip and is relatively minor,  then it is possible to zoom in on the clip slightly to move it out of the visible area.

If in a still image you can correct in an imaging editing program.

If the fisheye effect has been added to a video clip in the project and you wish to remove it, you can select the video clip, right click it and select Video Effects, Reset video effects - note this will reset all effects on the clip.

hi and thanks john

it comes from the lens.

i found the lens effect, which gives me a quite good result.
if i could zoom in slightly to remove the distortions on the edges =)

how can i zoom in properly?
i tried 2-3 things but it keeps applying he lens effect to the result,
so that i also get the distortions in the zoomed/cutout image

thank you!

Hi

The lens effect applies to the visible area in the preview monitor and does not do what you want..

To zoom in select Movement Effects, Section.  In the preview monitor drag the handles to the size the 'window' on the image and drag in the centre to position the 'window'.  Click preview button to see if you need to make adjustments if so click the Edit button - it toggles between Preview and Edit.

Do not overdo the zoom otherwise you will hit pixellation problems.
