Reinstalling and upgrading operating system (Movie edit pro plus 2020)

I'm looking to bring my laptop in for PC repair to get it wiped and reloaded with newer operating system and possibly newer components if needed (like RAM). I want to make sure that I will be able to reinstall my Movie edit pro plus 2020 software before I proceed. Please let me know if I need to uninstall it or unregister it or something first.

I believe I have Windows 7 on it now so may see if the laptop can handle Windows 10.

@holiday4js

Welcome to the Magix user to user forums.

It is possible to have two activations of the software simultaneously in your account but I would agree with you, it is better to deactivate the one you will no longer be using, i.e., the installation on your "old" laptop.

There are two methods by which deactivation can be actioned: either, by opening the program, going to Help and choosing the option "Deactivate Program", (clearly this will need to be done before your computer is wiped and reloaded; or, by going to your Magix account, logging in and going to My products. Find the listing for MEP Plus 2020 and clicking on "Show more details"; here you will find ALL registered activations, simply deactivate any you no longer need.

Whilst in your account you will also have access to the installer for your software and your serial key which you will need in order to reinstall it on your "new" laptop.
