Redeem EDM edition credits

Derek-Logan wrote on 11/13/2021, 8:52 PM

I'm trying to redeem the soundpool credits I got with the EDM edition but it's always full price instead of having the voucher applied as shown in the instructions here.

https://www.magix.info/us/tutorials/music-maker-2021-redeeming-credits--1262792/.

This is what I see instead, with a randomly picked soundpool. All others are the same.

I'm using version 28.0.3.53.

@Derek-Logan

Hi,

Did you try clicking on the credits button (yellow 3 credits) at the bottom of the screen? This will limit the selection to only those Soundpools that can be purchased with the credits. Then try selecting one for purchase. Go for the most expensive.

Yes, I tried that way. The first screenshot in my original post shows the "EDM Edition Soundpools" category that's shown after I clicked the credits button.

I also tried the "Redeem credits" dialog but it's just the same using these steps. I can't redeem any credits at all.

@Derek-Logan

Hi Derek,

I just tried and I was able to purchase Tiny Percussion Christmas Bells using a credit.

I see that you're using MM2020 (version 28.x.x.x). This should not be a problem, so it's strange. You may want to try again. If it still doesn't work, then raise a ticket with Magix.

BTW, if you want to try installing MM2022 (version 30.x.x.x) then, when asked during installation if you want to remove the previous version, say no. Some credits may not be carried forward to the newer version.

MM2022 is free but is 64 bits, so you will need 64 bit versions of VST's and VSTi's. Your previous activated editions, like EDM, will show up once logged in.

I tried with version 27 (2018), same problem. Then I tried version 30 (2022), where the credits obviously aren't available. I tried with Windows 10 and 11 on 2 different PCs to rule any of that out.

With a different account, different PC, the Hip Hop Edition is exactly the same. The credits are available for the correct categories, but the voucher isn't applied when I try to purchase anything.

Is there an email address I can use to contact Magix? All of the support links lead either to here or an infinite merry go round.

Apparently it was a problem with the back-end and older 32-bit versions of the software.

After some back and forth for the past few days, name removed by Moderator from support was able to reproduce the problem. Once a report was submitted, the developers had it fixed within a few hours.

Happy days, cheers guys.
