@Stan-Tabor

Hi

Assuming you mean you cannot position the cursor at an exact location, ie it snaps to the nearest location, set the Grid setting to No grid.

@Stan-Tabor
I've had something similar - but different -  happen a few times (3?), but only when the red marker was out towards the end of the project:  I couldn't move the marker forward (closer to the end), but I could drag it backwards.  The way I "fixed" this was by dragging the (yellow) Bar Ruler end marker out a bit further to extend the number of bars.  After that, I could move the red marker as desired.

Some questions to help clarify the issue . . .
- assuming you have loops in this project, are you able to Play/Rewind, etc, with the Transport controls?
- Is this with a particular project?
- What happens if you close/reopen the project?
- Does this happen with a new project?
- Does this happen in any/every project?

Thanks @gjonny! I'm able to play/rewind! My issue is with all projects in the 2024 version! I've updated the software, restarted the program, restarted the computer. I've been wrestling with this for a few days now. I click where I want the red line to go, and the program puts in the general area, but I can't move it to the exact spot I need.

In my OLD version of Music Maker, the fix was to zoom in closer, then I was able to move the red line anywhere.

I appreciate your ideas! I tried adjusting where the yellow bar ruler was, and it didn't affect my ability to move the red line!

@johnebaker  Yes, that's exactly what's happening! Thanks! I don't know where Grid settings are, but I'll search now...

@Stan-Tabor

The grid option is the Magnet symbol in the top toolbar
