recording without internet possible?

Hi,

does anybody know if it is possible to record with Samplitude without an internet connection?

My computer needs to be plugged into the modem upstairs, so i am recording upstairs. But since i would also like to record the piano downstairs, i would need a very long internet cable for that. I just tried to run Samplitude downstairs (without internet), but it asks you to register Magix anew, and if you proceed to do that, it says that you need an internet connection to register anew. So it seems, that it is impossible to record with Samplitude if you are not connected to the internet?

Is that right?

This is my setup:

MAGIX\Samplitude Pro X4 Suite\Sam_x64.exe

Windows 10

@kate-m You only need to register after the installation and after updates. Some audio codecs need internet activation. Then it is possible to use Samplitude without internet.

Hey SP.,

i have installed Samplitude several years ago on my computer. So, you think i have to do all the updates first, before i can record with Samplitude offline? Or maybe it's just the registration?

I will look for my registration info to make sure i registered, too.

You can get a usb wifi adaptor for PCs and they are not expensive.

@kate-m You need just to install Pro X4. Then you need to register the installation if you start the program for the first time. Then download all the instruments and loops and updates and activate the audio cleaning and restoration suite from the help menu. If I remember correctly you also need to activate some audio codecs like AAC or MP3 the first time you use them. You can just export the demo project as different audio formats.

I think that is all and no other activation should be necessary.
