Can't get it to record live sound, vocals etc, using creative soundblaster X-fi, I can hear sound in speakers, and sound registers in the creative program, having trouble getting the sound from creative program to Music Maker

Music Maker needs to connect direct to the sound source - you cannot go through another program - this will be available in the record settings as shown below
If the Sounblaster is not there, check that it is set as the default recording device in the Sound settings of Windows.
If the Soundblaster still does not appear in the MMM recording options, check that you have 32 bit drivers installed for the SoundBlaster device.
