Recording guitar in stereo

Hello again,

I'm having another problem, this time when I record my electric guitar I can hear it only in Mono (right ear).

But few days earlier I was able to record bass riff on that same guitar in stereo.

I am using Focusrite Scarlett Solo 3rd Gen and in Music maker I set the Audio recording to Stereo but it's still recording in Mono.

If anyone knows how to solve this, I would be grateful.

Hi,

Can you describe your setup please? Are you using an external interface?

Stereo has two channels, left and right. When you record in stereo, you have to have two inputs, one for each channel, like a mic on one and the guitar on the other. If you only have a single input, like just your guitar and you set recording to Stereo, you'll only get one channel.

Set recording to mono and you'll get both left and right.
