recording external midi

i cant find a way to record the exturnal keyboard aside from miking it. and the piano roll isnt enough, how do i use the midi sound from the exturnal instrument?

Hi,
What do you mean the piano roll isn't enough? Is it working? If properly set up you must choose your MIDI device from Magix program settings. Then you should be able to record via MIDI.

Is your keyboard installed properly to work with MIDI?

Your keyboard probably has a driver which you can choose in magix as input - and you have to use a midi-recordingtrack!
