Recording

Hi, using Sound Forge Audio Studio 17 to record audio in from vinyl.

First issue is that whilst recording, the waveform updates sporadically if at all; for a few seconds after starting recording I don't even know if it is recording as the waveform being created doesn't appear. I'm guessing this could be a GPU issue, desktop PC uses onboard graphics (Intel UHD 630)

Second issue is that recording has begun to just stop after 3.5 minutes. Incredibly frustrating and no idea on this one.

Any ideas?

Thanks, Chris.

Hi @Chris-Tyas and welcome to the Magix Sound Forge users community.

Check the 'View, Record Options' settings. The timer or another setting could inadvertently been changed. Maybe try changing the 'Temp folder' in "Options> Preferences> General> Temporary files and record buffer". Also you could try resetting SF and clearing the cache in the 'File' menu, However this would reset many of your custom settings as well

I just recorded 15+ minutes on my PC with no issues. Otherwise, both my PCs have 32 GB Ram. I am not sure if the graphics card is causing the waveform build issue.
