Recording

Hello, I have had Music Maker for awhile but just upgraded and it then asked for a License number to activate it, but I never had one with Music Maker because it was a free download. Where would I find a license if this is a free downloaded version??

Also, I was wondering if you are able to record with it from outside instruments. I haven't seen anywhere it gives you the option for a connection from a mixer /other instruments.

Hi, welcome to the Magix forums.

If you have, indeed, upgraded (possibly accidentally) from MM Free to one of the paid-for versions, you will need to purchase a licence in order to use it. What do you see if you go to Help>About Magix Music Maker, assuming you can open the program?

It is certainly possible to record from external sources into MM Premium at least, either as MIDI or as audio. Before we go into more details about this, however, we do need to establish which version you have.
