Recommend an affordable midi keyboard/controller for Sam x3

I cannot get our Roland fa06 to work with Sam x3....

So need to buy an affordable midi key/controller.....what works with amplitude from your experience?

I actually managed to find a nice write-up of how to set-up your midi keyboard with Samplitude x2 &3.

Quite a complicated process. Quite dissapointing actually. I will try to get my big dollar synth to connect and act like a $99 toy, if possible.
