Received the error "Could not create a DirectSound object".

When opening MP3 Deluxe 19 I get the error "Could not create a DirectSound object". I got the software from humblebundle yesterday, I am in no way good with computers, and English is not my native language - so I have no idea what this means or how I can fix it. I've tried uninstalling and re-installing, I've rebooted the computer, I've updated the software, and I've tried repairing the software through the installation-wizard. Anyone know what this is, and know how to explain it in layman terms?

Hi LadyLA. I am in the same position as you. Humble bundle and direct sound error THEN I get mp3 deluxe not working and a suggestion to send error reports. tried uninstall/reinstall but got nothing and also the web radio component either gives a "connection taking too long error or no audio output. grrr hope this gets figured out if you get any help please pass it on as I am going crazy with all the patches updates and reinstalls to get this stuff working. And do you have any idea how to use the springsale25/musicmaker25 vouchercodes? Sorry for asking so many questions but I am a noob also. thanks and stay awesome

ok last time

dont think you can run MusicMaker and MP3 Deluxe at same time

not sure why think they both need to use the audio routines.

HOPE THIS ALL HELPS
