Is there a way to have the sub menu (chapter menu) items in magix set to return to the chapter menu screen after only that chapter plays? You can direct main menu items to go to whereever you want them to go after playing, but I'd like to make that happen with items in a chapter menu as well.
I.e. Someone chooses chapter 1
Chapter 1 plays and before chapter 2 starts it returns to the chapter menu.
No, I do not believe that is possible... not how you describe it, but there is a way to get that effect. Here is how I do it in Movie Edit Pro 16 Plus.
Open a new project, load in the first video. then look for the movie reel icon that is under the preview monitor, click that and choose new movie, do not close the other project. Now you have a new project, load in the second video, repeat this as many times as you have videos... When you press to burn, you have the options for each to jump back to the main menu.
