I had some luck for a few days with the handy /NOVSTGROVEL tool but the plugin scan came back on its own and now the command tool doesn't bypass the VST scanning process. Any ideas on how to permanently deactivate this scanning process while launching Sound Forge 12 on a PC?
I am not aware of a way to disable that . There is probably one plug-in the is not registering properly in the VST grovel file. Hide the VST <.dll> files in a non-search folder and add back a few at time to I.D. the offender. I have done this before for a similar issue, adding the <.dll> files a few at a time alphabetically. It is time consuming and a real PITA, but I cannot think of another way
