I am trying to add text to my video but it won't work, every time I click on the text it says ,"Please use the quick entry box in the title menu to change the text of an object".  I can't find the quick entry box, where is it?  Someone said to press F9 but that didn't do anything.  I am just not seeing the quick entry box or is it something else? (I am using movie edit pro 16 plus.)

MEP 16 handles text a bit differently then previous versions. Open the title  tab in the upper right side. Double click on the preview window where your movie is viewed. Text can now be entered directly on the screen. Or, if you want custom text click "standard" or one of the other choices in the text menu and drag the chosen icon into your "storyline" track where you want the effect to appear. Now double click the text on the screen and edit.

I couldn't find it for a long time either (Quick entry box), but someone here showed a screen shot.  By the sounds of it you are trying to edit 3D text.  All you do is select the 3D text on your timeline and make sure you are under the Title tab.  Now at the very bottom of all your titles is a very thin text box called Title.  You can edit your new text in there.  That's about all you can do with the 3D text. If you want a more advanced editing tool to change the speed, lighting, direction of animation etc of 3D text you will need to use the Magix Movie Pro X series.  That brings open a 3D window with a heap of settings.  But this will cost 400 bucks more than Magix Movie Edit series.
