Without knowing the end use for the mp4 it is difficult to say which settings to use.

Is the mp4 to be shown on a computer, Youtube, a website or what?

Hi,

Use MediaInfo which is free on the Web to check the mp4 file you create. Normaly a mp4 file is a H.264 codec, size 1920 x 1080 or 1280 x 720 or 854 x 480 or 640 x 360 progressive type. Quality for bitrate is 5000 and over. Up to 18000. When you export a file you can select the file or custom parameter.

YR

Hi

Once you have installed media info then either:

Use Windows Explorer to locate the file and right click it, select MediaInfo from the popup menu as shown below

OR

Start MediaInfo then click File, Open, File and find the video file as shown below

When the analysis is finished switch to Tree view by clicking View, Tree the screen will change to look something like the one shown below

Finally click File, Export and select the Text tab if not already selected and save the exported information to a folder where you can find it as shown below.

You can the open this text file in Notepad and Copy and Paste the text into your answer here.

Good little tute for Media Info there. I wonder if you could post it somewhere to make it easily referenced with a link so we can direct members to it in our answers?
