Purchase the wrong version of Sound Forge

Xlog2X wrote on 11/15/2022, 7:42 PM

Dear Magix,

I would like to inform that I made a mistake and purchase Sound Forge 16 pro instead of 16 suite pro. This is hopefully something we can take care off by paying the difference of by refund. Please advise. Also I noticed that there are many failed installation posts in the support forum. I was not able to install Sound Forge and I came to the web site and found that I also had purchased the wrong version.

Vielen Dank

Hi, Xlog2X. Send email to sales@magix.net or infoservice@magix.net to resolve this situation.

@Xlog2X

Just to clarify: these are user to user forums, there are no Magix staff present here.

So please follow @john_barr's advice and email infoservice@magix.net, explain what has happened and ask for your initial purchase to be refunded, which will then allow you to purchase the edition you want.

@Xlog2X, Magix is very accommodating in this regard so you should have no worries.
btw, welcome to the Magix Sound Forge users community.

I just want to follow-up and thank you all for your kind replies. I got an email from support today with a download link to sound forge, however this installer has the same problem: Installation stops midway. Within the email from Magix support there is no link to update the status of the ticket or at least I can't find one. I will reply to support@magix.net and wait and see what they suggest next. Many thanks :)

Hi @Xlog2X, the installation manager download/install procedure has been flaky as of late. Assuming you need the unpacked installer for Sound Forge Pro 16 Suite:

http://dl04.magix.net/2022/SOUNDFORGEPro16/SOUND_FORGE_Pro_16.1.2.55_Suite_DLV_INT_x64_220914_06-26_9A2BE706.exe

.. and if you need the x86 (32 bit) version:
http://dl04.magix.net/2022/SOUNDFORGEPro16/SOUND_FORGE_Pro_16.1.2.55_Suite_DLV_INT_x86_220914_06-06_F72AA18E.exe

The included third-party plug-ins (from iZotope, Steinberg, ect) may download from the 'installation manager' okay. or can be downloaded directly from their respective websites.
