ProX6(8) Can't see all of my inputs

jason-hoffheins wrote on 10/7/2024, 5:14 PM

I have been running ProX6 using Behringer UMC1820 and ADA8200 interfaces all year with no issue. One day I opened a session to record some drums, and I can only see the 8 channels from the UMC. No settings have changed with the hardware...I even did a session with a Sweetwater tech to troubleshoot that side of things, and he had no idea. Could I have changed a setting in Samplitude without realizing it? I have since upgraded to ProX8, and I have the same issue. Any thoughts on how to get all of this back to normal?

@jason-hoffheins Can you show us a screenshot of your Samplitude driver settings and available audio inputs and outputs? You can upload images via the arrow icon above the reply text box.

@jason-hoffheins

Hi

In addition to @SP.'s comment, check that Windows Update has not replaced the drivers for the interfaces with more generic and less featured than those from Behringer.

Thank you, SP. Is this what you were asking for? And thank you, John. I have no idea how to do that

@jason-hoffheins Yes, thanks. On the second screenshot it looks like you have Magix Low Latency (which is an older version of ASIO4ALL) selected as your driver?

What do you see, when you open the UMC driver Control Panel?

Additionally, please check whether all inputs and outputs are activated in the Windows sound settings.

Press Windows key and R on your keyboard and type mmsys.cpl. Then press Enter to open the Sound settings and look under the Playback and Recording tabs.

Thank you again. I have the UMC Asio selected. When I open the control panel box, there are multiple tabs...status, sample rate, clock source, buffer settings, info, about. Not sure which of those I need to be focused on. As far as the settings in Windows, Output Device is "OUT 01-02 (Behringer UMC 1820)", and Input Device is "IN 01-02 (Behringer UMC 1820)"

@jason-hoffheins Screenshots would be helpful for us. Maybe you need to enable the inputs somewhere in the ASIO driver. Is your driver up-to-date? Maybe you need to press a button on the interface itself? Be aware, that in the Windows sound settings you can right click to make hidden inputs and outputs visible.
