Project Tempo Change

heffminster wrote on 5/9/2018, 11:34 PM

I just upgraded from Samplitude 11 Producer to the most recent Samplitude Music Studio. In Samplitude 11, you could go into the transport and change the BPM and a box would pop up asking you if you wanted to "adapt the Audio object to the new tempo (means time position moving and time stretching)". If you clicked button next to it, when you changed the tempo in the transport, the tempo of all the objects changed accordingly and they were all snapped into the new BPM grid.

In the new program, when you change the BPM in the transport, no such pop up box appears, no position moving or time stretching takes place, and the objects are then all out of position with the snapped grid.

It's driving me insane. How can I globally change the BPM, and get everything to adapt to the new grid? Is there a setting somewhere that I'm missing?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hi.

I wonder whether this question might be better posted to the dedicated Samplitude forum here? Certainly, I think more experienced users of Samplitude will see it there!

Aha! Thank you! I will move it.

Jeff- thank you for the information. Unfortunately, there is some kind of bug or something over there that is preventing me from creating an account. I can't seem to correctly pass the not-a-robot test, although I am not a robot and I have answered the questions correctly (at least three times each).  For example, I know that a guitar has six strings, but it keeps telling me I'm wrong.  I can't even send them a message to ask them a question about it because there's another (apparently invisible) security test you must pass before you can contact the administrators. I've tried two different browsers. Anyhow - I agree that that would be the best place to ask, but it seems that you are my only hope.

@heffminster

it seems that you are my only hope

Then I fear you have no hope!😭

Unfortunately, I don't have any version of Samplitude on my computer and nor have I ever used it!

However, I will attempt to draw Magix' staff attention to the problem with registering at the Samplitude forum and to you question.

@heffminster

Several users have had difficulty creating an account on the Samplitude forum. Maybe Kraznet will jump in here and help.

In the meantime, you can look at a couple of Kraznet's tutorials that may help. I don't have a recent Samplitude Music Studio, so I can't be of much help.

Here are 2 Samplitude Pro X3 videos by Kraznet about tempo:

Aha! Thanks to an intrepid gentleman named TotteG at the Samplitude forum, the problem seems to be a buggy update. It appears there is nothing more anyone can do.
