The Video Pro X16 unnecessarily cuts clips to 28 frames when I put it from project window to the project folder and I can't revert it.
Is there a setting that prevents this strange behavior or is this a bug?
(Windows 11, i7-11700K, 64 GB RAM, Nvidia Getforce 1660 super, NVMe Samsung 2280 1Tb 970 EVO Plus)

This is a known bug which was also in VPX 15 and was supposedly fixed, only to return in VPX 16.

What is more disturbing, that no workaround exists.
I can't rearrange clips from within project folder to virtual subfolders, because it doesn't work perfectly, not to mention how cumbersome it is in a longer video.

Personally I do not use the Project Folder, all my projects are time/location based sequenced an do not usually need any re-ordering or have no cross project requirements.
@browj2 posted on this issue, which, IIRC, had a workaround, however I cannot find that post.

I found a simple solution.
The found clip in the project window easily movable to the project folder / subfolder via source monitor.
It's not as easy as using the menu item, but it works.

Hi,
As per my long thread about VPX16, Magix fixed the problem with dragging trimmed clips from the Source Monitor (Media Pool) to the Project Temp Folder. Previously, the entry in the PTF would only be 1 second long when dragged or put on the timeline and I think that there was a problem with the start media.
With VPX16, as you have found, they broke the part about adding a trimmed clip from the timeline to the PTF. They entry shows ok, with Media Start, Media End and Duration, but dragging or putting this back on the timeline makes it 1 second long only (playtime).
Please raise a ticket with Magix, showing them the problem and indicating to please not break what they already fixed.
I will do the same.
Currently, the only way around this that I have found, is to look at the duration of the clip in the PTF and drag out right side of the clip on the timeline to match the duration. Annoying.

Hi,
Unfortunately, a clip cut from TPF retains its cut size after you place it back on the timeline.
The only solution is to put the desired clip on the TPF via the source monitor.
However, you can only move one at a time and must manually delete the clip from the timeline.

Once you have put the trimmed clip back on the timeline from the PTF, did you try dragging the right side of the clip out? Works for me.
