@Billy-Green8845

I'm not sure it was necessary to create another thread about this problem!

First, I note from your screenshot, that you actually have Video Pro X17, not Video deluxe 2026!

However, ALL the questions which you have been previously asked in your other threads are still pertinent and still requiring answers, please!

Please help us to help you by supplying as much detailed information as you can! In the meantime, with apologies because I do not want to see users left questioning to which existing thread they should post, I am going to close the other threads to further posts, but you can still read (and answer here) all the questions raised.

Thanks, I do have Video deluxe 2026!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I uploaded the wrong screen shot, sorry!

As you see, I now have a new problem, and yes, I am sorry I started a new thread, as you may have guessed, unlike yourself, computers are not my strong point. (I really do wish I knew more, I understand how frustrating it is)

I start to edit, and as I move the cursor along, the display part of the programme (Not the pc screen) goes black as you see in the screen shot

I am also wondering is this pc "not good enough" for your programme, no not joking, many years ago I had to get a new pc just for your programme (The one that has windows 10) If you think this is possibly the case, what would you suggest I have that will run video pro x17 ? No, not being sarcastic, as I have said, computers are not my strong point.

HI

The Error code: CopyToAdapter by another user 9 months ago, the user had to disconnect (ungroup) the audio from the video, and ensure they were on separate tracks.

The filename 'type' suggests the video clip is from a Canon camera and I notice from the image above that there does not appear to be any audio grouped with the video.

  • Has the audio been removed ?

  • If not is it on a lower track?

  • If neither of the above select the video clip and press Ctrl + H, does the audio appear?

A MediaInfo analysis of the video clip on the timeline may help to determine if the encoding formats, for the video and audio, are not a ' normal combination' for the video file format, you can use MediaInfo Online to analyse the video file, copy the analysis data and paste into your reply.

Thanks for your time, you are right, the video is from a Canon video camera. The audio is there at the start of the clip, it is when I move the slider to get to the end of the video (or further along) that it goes wrong, like wise if it does start to process it, it soon stops and will not let me do anything. I have read what you have said, and appreciate you taking the time to reply, but to be honest, I do not understand what you are meaning, in desperation I have "reset" the computer and given it away, yes, I really did, I got so frustrated with it/your software. My previous PC i put your software on it, and it worked first time, and every time since, I only "upgraded" because windows 11 has come out and no more support for windows 10, so from a leymans point of view, if Magix worked then, it should work now, but clearly it doesn't want to.

All I would like is a computer that can edit a video and allow me to upload it, magix used to work for me for years, that is why I have stuck with it, I really do not know what to do.

Did you use the same camera at that time? Have you changed the camera record settings since?

I'm out for now but someone else may reply to the answer to this question.

Thanks, enjoy your day out.

No, the camera has never had its settings changed.

If it helps, in a previous thread I said I got the trial version of Magix, which worked no problems (win 11 pc) then when I purchased it, it gave nothing but problems, since the PC or camera had not changed it had to be Magix, lo and behold a month later a new version came out, you see what i am having to think.

@Billy-Green8845

Slightly OT, but "we" are not Magix employees, just fellow-users, so this is not "our" software! This is a user to user forum.

However, of greatest importance to us (if we are to be able to help you) is for you to provide the Mediainfo data from one of the video files that fails for you on export. John EB has written a step by step tutorial to guide you in how to download, install and run it; it can be found here.

Please follow it carefully and, once you have some results, please copy and paste to your reply the results of the Text View. Doing so will enable us to either, see what the problem cause may be, or, eliminate the source video file(s) as the cause!

Hi

If the tutorial is not clear, use the online MediaInfo feature here.

Use the Choose file option and go to where the file is and upload it.

The analysis will take a few seconds, then use the Download MediaInfo report option, this will place a text file into either your Downloads folder, or the default location specified for your web browser.

From this text file you can copy all the information to paste into your reply.

Another thing that may help us to help you is if you can do a screen grab of your program's Device settings found under File / Settings / Program Settings / and open the Device options tab.

You will see on the left a set of three 'boxes' that when you click on the down arrow will show what options you have for processing your import, processing, and export options to produce your video files. It could be something there has changed.

It should look similar to this image when you click on one of the tree down 'v' arrows.
