Hi

What settings are not being saved are you referring to settings such as default folders etc in the programs settings dialogs?

If so are you using Windows Defender as your antivirus/security program?

If so check if you have Protected folders turned on, if it is on, try turning it off then run Music Maker again and check if it is saving your settings.

If Defender Protected folders are turned off = try running the program as Administrator - right click the shortcut ans select 'Run as Administrator'.

I am using windows defender and have tried what you said but to no avail.

It seems like no settings are being saved in program settings e.g general options, import, audio/midi, folders. Also settings in the arranger don't save either. When it happened I also had to reload some VST's I had downloaded.

When I go to reset the program settings I see that the program settings are saved in the following file c:\users\name\appdata\roaming\magix\music maker 2014 premium\music maker.bak, but the music maker.bak file doesn't seem to be there in the folder?

This all happened after my computer didn't seem to awake from sleep and I had to restart pc.

Thanks again for any help

Ok, just reset program settings and everything is back how it was and it now stays like that. Thanks for your suggestions.
