Program Keeps Crashing

I am trying to import HD video's to convert them to the Magix format for easier editing.

The original files are .MOV and I want to convert them to the Magix file MXV.

After I important a few clips, I get this message:

"Crash Guard

Error in module “CoreAudioToolbox.dll’ ‘(Load address: )x)cb20000) to address OxOce3e759
Exception: )0xc0000005 “ACCESS_VIOLATION”

WARNING! Correctly saving the date is not possible! Internal data structures may have been destroyed. It is recommended to save the project under a new name and vertify it later after restarting the program."

I noticed that the last clip I important before this message only has the video image but not the video audio. After I close the program and reimport the file, it is all fine. Then after a few more imports, the same message. It won't let me import more than a few clips before it crashes...

Any alternatives besides converting each individual clip? They are short 30 second clips. I would rather string them all together and convert them all at once...

Since you did not say what container or file format the videos are using or what you want to convert them to, it is hard to tell you very much on how to fix the error, but if you want to convert them to another format, try using the free "Any Video Converter" application.  You can open multiple files in this converter and convert them all automatically to a new format.

Good Luck

Hi,

You won't be able to convert the files to .MXV directly, convert the to something like .MP4 using "Any Video Converter" or some other conversion program, then import them using either import or drag and drop into MEP and export as .MXV.  Not really sure why you want them as .MXV but that is your call.

Well, I was able to import some of the .MOV files and convert them to .MXV

I edit my HD stuff in MXV because any other format is too choppy for me to preview and often freezes the program.

However, some files simply will not import the audio. The program crashes and recommends that I shut it down whenever I try to important certain files. One is almost a minute long, so it is bigger than the rest.
