program freezes during session

the program has started to freeze during the session.

for example when i finish recording track and try to play it back the DAW is frozen and i have use the task manager to end the program.

the current project only has 3 tracks. vocals , guitar and a drum loop

thoughts?

@martin-smith Try running it in Windows 8 compatibility mode.

also i dont think im savvy enough to do swap windows back and forth like you suggest.

any other ideas?

You don't switch Windows back and forth. Right click on the program icon for the program you are trying to run, select properties, choose the compatibility tab where you can select Windows compatibility mode.
