program doesn't open and keeps asking for registration

I've been using sound forge 10 for several years. For some reason now when I go to open it, a dialog box opens up and says I need elevated privileges and shows a windows next button. When I click on that it asks if I want to allow my computer to make changes which I click yes, and then nothing happens. This is really frustrating. I paid for this program and I want it to work.

@paul-lawrence The program is so old that it doesn't work correctly under Windows 10. You need to run it as administrator by right clicking on the program icon to solve this problem or edit the Windows registry.
