Program does not see my old VHS player VERSION 3.0.1.25

I'm trying to run version VERSION 3.0.1.25

PC is running W10 with all updates applied.

The VHS machine is connected to a USB port scart to 3 plugs via the red and white adapter. When I go to try and play something through the video machine the software does not see the old VHS machine. I get past the screen that says "Import videos from analog sources" but then canniot go any further: there are no options to choose from except "back". Any ideas? I think it's something to do with the video driver?

@deebee23

Hi

We need more information:

Is this a new installation on Windows 10, ie you have a new computer, or are you still using the same computer from your previous posts in 2012 and upgraded to Windows 10.

In either case the issue is that the wrong drivers for the USB video converter are installed - Windows 10 will have installed 64 bit drivers which RYVT 3, a 32 bit program, cannot see.

IIRC the converter is the red/white one, however the 32 bit drivers are, AFAICS, no longer available on the Magix support site - this is a very old converter and is no longer supported.

If you have the disc for the program, the drivers may be on it, however due to incompatabilities with Windows 10, they may not install or work.

IMHO it is time to upgrade to the latest version of RYVT and video converter.

Hi John

It's a different machine to 2012 posts. The software has been installed for some time on this machine but I had not used it. TBH I cannot remember if I have used it to record analog video since it was installed on this kit. It is, as I said, the red and white converter.

I have uninstalled the software from the machine and re-installed from the original media but it still does not work and having looked through this forum I began to suspect that a 32 bit driver was the issue and that a newer version is the way forward. Thanks for your help.
