Program Crashing on Load

Hi

. . . . Error in module "MSVCR120.dll" . . . .

The module reporting the error is a Windows component have any Windows update or upgrade failed to install correctly or at all?

. . . . I have uninstalled and reinstalled. Reinstalled all the C++. . . .

That would not help on its own, there are files left behind that need cleaning up after uninstall - the uninstaller know nothing about them so cannot remove them, a system check on Windows is also recommended.

See this tutorial for uninstalling/ re-installing and also how to check Windows for errors.

Thanks for the reply. I tried the very nice pdf steps but it did not work. Attached is a screen shot of the issue.

I'm not sure that was the whole point of the article but the folder that had to be redone to restore the dll link, and opening another user account and see if the problem still existed as a test of the cause of the problem which is the link to that folder that causes the notification.

I suspect you have missed the point of the article @CubeAce linked to - it is not the hard drive that is at issue, it is your user account on your computer.

Try creating another user Admin account and login using it and test the program again to see if the issue disappears.

Yes - MSVCR stands for MicroSoft Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2013.

I have seen Magix support suggesting to install this:- https://www.microsoft.com/en-US/download/details.aspx?id=40784 when that 120.dll causes problems. There are several components listed in the details on that page.
