Program crashes whenever I try to export audio into wav. format

Just updated to 2023, I work with a lot of audio and I usually just use Movie Studio to clip trims and then export them. Had no problem doing this with the previous version but whenever I try to do a simple export now (doesn't matter if it's mp3 or wav) the whole program freezes. Any advice?

@Sonny-Fernandez

Hi and welcome to the user to user forums.

It depends which version you have upgraded from. If the last version of your program was Vegas Movie Studio 17 or earlier then it it is more then likely your computer no longer meets the minimum hardware requirements to run.

The current version you are using is not the same program but made by a different development team and the old version of the program you were used to is effectively dead. The Vegas development team dropped Movie Studio from their program line-up and now the Vegas range of editors starts at their Pro range only. Subsequently Movie Studio has been replaced by the parent company with a rebadged version of their product which was previously named Movie Edit Pro and subsequently has a very different set of components required for the program to run.

That your program is constantly freezing when in use seems to indicate this is the case.

If you could give us your complete computer specification including the operating system in use and current graphics card and drivers in use we may be able to verify whether this is the case or not.

Ray.
