Program CRASH after hours of proxy creation...

Hi there, I am having serious issues with the Movie Studio Suite 2023. I have 252 4k video files that I need edit. For this I need Proxys. On about ~90% completed of the 6 hour proxy creation, I have gotten these kind of error messages (pictures attached). I am not 100% certain if the error comes at 90% completion, I have not waited for the whole 6 hours near the computer for the proxy creation to complete.

I have over 600Gb of free hardrive space, with the video files. So I think that is not the issue?

System info attached, in Finnish but you'll get the main components.

A big thank you for your time and effort! I really appreciate it.

Though I am starting to consider changing to anything else, since Magix gives me more headaches than I can count......

With this hardware it should not be necessary to create proxies.

Is the RTX 3050 TI set to hardware acceleration?

Which camera are the recordings from?

WIthout proxies the editing is literally hell...

So anyway, I do not even have that option on the settings, thanks for the tip though.

Videos are from GoPro Hero 11 Black, 4k 4:3 30 fps and 60 fps.

I've had issues with the GoPro 11's 5.3K 10-bit 4:2:0 files for a while.

Since the April updates of Windows and the NVidia driver version 531.68 Game Ready, everything runs smoothly, even with Pictures in Pictures effects. Your hardware is similar in performance to mine.

@Former user Hi, I have a GoPro 11 & as @Marc-Goder says I have little to no problem but I have quite a different PC to both of you so sorry I can't compare results,

I just wanted to say - would you click your icon at the top of this page - My Profile & update your Signature with the full name of your CPU, GPU & amount of RAM, also inc the Windows & Magix version, 👍

Also if you're not aware of it there's an App called MediaInfo, download it, it's free & a fast download with no added adverts or any of that rubbish. https://mediaarea.net/en/MediaInfo

After downloading, right click on the media file in your Windows folder, open MediaInfo, choose Text from the options at the top, Copy & paste the information in a new comment on here or enlarge the MediaInfo window & post a screenshot 👍

Have you added all 252 clips to the timeline and are then waiting for the proxy files to complete?

Is the 6 hours the suggested time to complete the proxy generation or the actual total runtime of the video clips on the timeline?

In either case I would be concerned with the likelihood of overheating of CPU, Memory and/or GPU. The system should be speed stepping (down) to limit heat production during rendering of the proxy files.

Try batch loading 50 clips at a time, allowing the proxies to complete and saving the project between adding batches.

Kuten John EB yllä kertoi ongelmasi voi johtua myös läppärisi lämpenemisestä. Virheilmoitukset "kertovat" että dll-tiedoston ja Kernelin kanssa olisi ongelmia. 6-tuntia on pitkä aika "jauhaa" noin kovaa laskentaa vaativaa videota. Toi 4K on järkyttävän raskasta pöytäkoneellakin editoida

Asemassasi kokeilisin leikata noi ensin lyhyimissä osissa esim. 5-20min. Tallennat ne sitten omiksi videoiksi täydellä laadulla ja lopuksi tuot nuo uudet videosi aikajanalle ja koostat ne haluamasi pituiseksi. Muutenkin 6 tuntia on pitkä aika katsoa, joten esim. 6.kertaa yksi tunti vois olla katsojallekin kiva? Osat 1-6.

Mulla ei ole win11 eikä tota 2023, joten pienellä varauksella, mutta muuten ongelmakenttä on tullut tutuksi :-)

Niin tosiaa ajurit (WIN 11 ja Nvidia 3050Ti? näytön ohjaimesi?) kannattanee päivittää, muista kuitenkin tehdä Windowsissasi ensin palautuspiste. Sulla taisi olla Ryzen 9 6900HS with Radeon Graphicks, 3301MHz

Sekin kannatta tarkistaa onko emolevysi bios ajan tasalla.

Tota Nvidia 3050Ti ei mainittu sinun järjestelmä luettolossasi, toivottavasti sulla sellainen on. MMS tukee parhaiten intelin näytönohjaimia ja sen Ryzenin tuki on minulle? Olen siinä uskossa, että Nvidian tuki olisi nyt saatu käyttöön.
