proDAD VitaScene V4 LE

I've just spent a frustrating week communicating back and forth with Magix Support, and I thought I'd spare others the frustration. If anybody has tried the effects included with proDAD VitaScene V4 LE after successfully activating it, you might have noticed a watermark on your clips after applying effects. The Watermark looks something like this:

Magix Support had no answer for me and referred me to Prodad. They replied that this is working as intended. As the name implies, the version of VitaScene included with the latest version of Movie Edit Pro (2022) is the light "LE" version. It includes all the effects, but only a subset is actually available to Movie Edit Pro users. It was just my luck that the particular set of effects I was choosing were all watermarked:

If you look at some of the other Filter Groups, you'll see samples of effects you can actually use that don't display the Watermark:

Now if I could only get it to stop crashing...

I have no problem with Magix trying to make a buck (or Euro in this case), but someone should tell Support that this is not a bug/issue, but is working as expected. I spent a week going back and forth with them, reactivating the plug-in.

Oh, and being able to filter out all the effects we don't have access to would be a bonus. I'm guessing exposing potential customers to them is a way to get us to upgrade to the full version.

Hi Ian,

I don't have VitaScene so I can't say if there is a way to filter out unavailable effects. That is annoying.

Watch out for Boris FX. I ended up with about 50 lines of effects on my laptop that are not available after installing a free version of Boris something. Which reminds me, I'll have to install Boris FX Particle Illusion Standalone on my new computer; it's free and there is a new version.

I've just checked my copy and don't have any effects with watermarks but don't seem to have the ones you posted. Is it possible you have downloaded another version or additional effects?

I don't know how I would have. I just clicked the Vitascene V4.LE button (illustrated below). How did you install yours? Does anyone from Magix ever participate in this forum? Maybe they could shed some light on this issue.

Totally my bad. I appear to have V3 not V4. It appears to have 250 effects. All usable.

To be honest I'd not even looked at it before.

So, I received VitaScene Pro with my purchase, but cannot figure out how to activate it. The instructions that I received by email with my receipt said that I could enter the serial number at the end of the installation. Nothing shows up at the end of the installation process. I've tried it three times. Inside Magix PhotoStory, I can find no indication that anything has been installed. I find nothing that refers to proDAD or VitaScene.

If you have downloaded all the available content of the program you should get an icon in the effects section for it.

If you see the icon showing in the image below, do the following.

Hi guys..

I have "almost" same problem - have no more idea how to fix it by myself.. pls help..

I bought via Magix web page 1 upgrade bundle (Magix Movie Studio 2022 Platinum + proDAD VitaScene V4 LE + FXhome Ignite Colorizer) - I installed Movie Studio 2022 Platinum, it works , but I can't get those additional 2 to operate-

(by proDAD VitaScene V4 LE) ..when i click at "white Download" /as shown at previous picture above/ - it starts, shows progress, as well as serial # for activation... then happens nothing more.. if click again - downloads-shows serial-nothing- click and and..

with 2nd one - FXhome Ignite Colorizer - it starts, ?downloading? installing? Install completed successfully? and same=NOTHING..

what-where-how to check to get it all working -? I have no more ideas /I did already unregister-uninstall and reinstalled all from level"0" - but it doesn't work.. still doesn't
