Problems with autoplay and capturing video

Usually when I connect my Sony video camera to the PC, autoplay starts. I pick Magix Movie Edit Pro MX and I'm off. This week, I got some sort of Live thing to accept. I can't remember what it was, but it wouldn't go away until I accepted it. Now when I connect the video camera, I get Import Live Video. I have changed the settings in Import Live Video to always ask, but the settings do not hold. How do I get this to hold so autoplay starts as it did before.

The second problem is when I go to capture video into the same Video folder that I always have, I get an error saying the folder is write protected. All my folders have the same setting of share with Nobody. I don't know what the problem is. I created another video folder in My Documents. I didn't get the error message, but the video wasn't displayed on the screen, nor did it start when I clicked on the record button.

Can anybody out there help? Thank you in advance.

Hi

We need the following information:

Model of the video camera?

How are you connecting it to the computer?

What is the 'Live thing...'?

The folder issue is not a Share permissions issue but Security permissions - you need to check these are correct (set them to the same as the new folder you created).
