Problems with Acid Pro 10.0

Let me start by saying that I've been working with Acid since its inception in the Sonic Foundry days, and never before have I had so many problems with the software. Almost EVERY time I work in Acid, it crashes. I have to save my work after every single change to the project in fears that I'll lose all of the information. Before doing this, I've lost entire bodies of work, with countless hours of investment, due to crashing and it is EXTREMELY frustrating. I'll attempt to open a recent file, and it will get to 20% of opening and crash. Some older files I can no longer open due to frequent crashing. I have always loved working with Acid over Reason and ProTools, but I'm growing very impatient with the frequent bugs and crashes.

This is the error message I receive:

Problem Description
   Application Name:    ACID Pro 10.0

In addition, and this may seem minor, I've also noticed that I cannot minimize the screen using the minus sign or box icons in the upper right corner of the window, and they don't seem to line up with the mouse pointer?

I am working in Windows 10, on an HP Omen Obelisk desktop with Intel Core i7-8700, 16 GB HyperX DDR RAM, and GeForce GTX 1070.

I really hope that the folks at MAGIX can help me with my issues, especially given the fact that I've been a loyal user for 20 years.

Join the club my friend. I posted a similar rant yesterday in this forum. Apparently MAGIX doesn't care about supporting a supposedly professional product in a professional way. The funny thing is that the version of Acid Music Studio 11 that I have on the same machine works perfectly. You might be better off using that if you have a copy. This means I can't use features like the Playable chopper or any of the soft synths, plugins, etc. that came with Acid Pro. They need to release a patch NOW

I guess I'm not the only one huh Matthew? So frustrating. Acid has always been my go to workhorse DAW, and has always treated me well. I've never seen it crash so unexpectedly or frequently. There's obviously something that must be done here.

No, dre3am, you are not. I am struggling with problems of my own which I have spoken about a few times. I even sent a ticket to Magix support but not gonna hold my breath. Each time Acid crashes on me, I remind myself that all my projects are on Acid, I cannot get frustrated, just re-start the application and move along. No one cares.

Until a DAW comes along which has the same explorer as Acid, same paint tool, same exact workflow, only stable, I will switch, I own almost every DAW (upgrades, too), but still back on Acid due to those two main reasons, explorer window-double clicking a sound-creates an empty track and I paint!
