Problems using wmv file

I've been using Video Deluxe MX Premium version for a while and has always been working perfectly.

Now I'm going to start a new project and have imported a wmv file (17 MB). I open this file to use it in my project, but the video part (track 1) is only showing the same frame all the time. Audio is perfect.
My OS is Windows XP.

I've tried with other wmv files to the same project and they show perfectly (video and audio).
The issue must be with the first wmv file. But I don't know what can happen.

Any help please?

Hi Caren,

This could well be a codec problem based on how the file was recorded or any number of other problems. I have had this problem in the past and rather than worrying about how to solve the problem with just one file, I usually first try to convert it to another format such as .mp4 using a free product called "Any Video Converter" it usually solves the problem. You can download it here http://www.any-video-converter.com/products the first choice is to buy the paid version which I do not reccomend because there is very little difference between the free and paid versions. If you really want to know the details of the problem and get the right codec (if that is the problem) try GSpot which is also free and can be found here http://www.headbands.com/gspot/
