problems panning audio left and right

Troy-Barnett wrote on 5/14/2022, 10:24 PM

When I first purchased and installed Magix music maker, it was so easy to pan my tracks to the left or right to break up and balance instruments out. After an update, the entire layout has downgraded. Even though I know where to click to pan, nothing happens when I move the virtual dials to the L or R. It doesn't matter whether I record mono or stereo. Has anyone else noticed an inability to pan tracks ever since that update? How can it be fixed?

Hi

The pan controls work fine for me by both methods:

  1. click and hold, then move the mouse up/down

  2. hovering the mouse over the dial then using the mouse scroll wheel

The above works for all mixer dials and sliders.

After a long while of not being able to pan, I finally fixed the problem yesterday! The knobs would always have the animation of twisting left or right with the green lights and everything. Though now I actually hear the difference rather than just seeing it on the screen. I think it involved me using different headphones and then MMM recognized something. My external speakers also sounded very narrow and centered for a long while. They too sounded better after using a different headset. No actual adjustments were even made in my settings. So regardless of trying out various sets of headphones, the computer speakers also seemingly changed at the same time. Tascam brand head phones pretty much saved the day. Thanks for helping and answering though.
