Problem with CD-marker setzen

eeropekka wrote on 3/31/2013, 2:34 AM

My Operating system is Windows 7

I have Magix CD Audio Cleaning Lab 17 deluxe, purchased ca. 4 years ago.

When I want to set the cd-marker in the middle of two music pieces, the marker doesn't even by accident take its position there. It goes into a casual place either in the middle of the former piece or the next piece, or anywhere.

Using the Trackmarker Assistent the marker doesn't keep its place either. When I try to burn a cd, the marker jumps back to the original situation.

eeropekka,

Sorry I don't have Cleaning Lab but wonder if the problem might be that there is too short a gap (silence) between your two tracks. Can you add some space?

Also you say "...jumps back to the original situation." -- did you set an original position manually? Perhaps there is a setting to clear all track markers and start again?

In the Magix video editors such as Movie Edit Pro chapter markers for DVD menus are set to a particular location in time eg at 15:42:12. If a video clip is changed the chapter markers stays put rather than re-positioning to the start of the new material. The original marker remains at 15:42:12 even if it is now in the middle of a clip.

Regards,

Carl

Hi Carl

Thanks for your answer

Of course I can make space for the CD.marker, but only after I've played to the end of the vinyl or cassette. I don’t know how to make space during the playing. (I have no more video cassettes VHS unfortunately)

My intention is to click on the CD-marker during the break between the pieces where the cursor is at the moment (I mean the white square with a red dot). The marker never hits however exactly in this point, but it usually takes the previous or even next track half-way. Often it also goes between the existing characters, or even as the first character in the queue.

I of course can edit the result afterwards, but it is a little uncomfortable.

Hi

AFAIK  this cannot be done while recording - it must be done afterwards manually or using the Track marker assistant.

Hi

Here is my answer:

The problem has not yet been solved because I have not been so initiative with it due to priority of other things.

I have received a few links but my knowledge in English requires more time I have just now. I have found a temporary solution:

When I need the CD-track marker I click Aufnamepause and stop the tape or lift up the stylus. Then I release the Aufnamepause and record a little empty space. After that I click CD-track marker setzen (and the marker goes wherever in the line). I continue recording and repeat those tricks. After finishing  the recording I move the track markers to the pauses which are horizontal thin lines and easy to find among the mishmash.

I have purchased this software about four years ago. At that time it was available only in German language. It is no problem because I have studied it at school fifty years ago. I understand it but cannot speak any more. The price was ca. 70 €. Now it is probably available in English (unfortunately not yet in Finnish) but the price is ca. 140 €. The old version is enough for me, because it still works (except this CD marker problem).

I thang everyone for answers with warm greetings from Helsinki

Eeropekka.
