I've been trying to install this library on my computer since I bought the package on September 16, 2020 and still haven't been able to. I contacted the support that did not solve my problem, I sent a report with a photo and all the details of what was happening. You changed the layout of the site and I'm not able to open a ticket to get in direct contact with a technician, if there is still this here. I can't find the Independence Magix software option, it seems that this is intentional. I paid dearly for this program and I haven't been able to install it for 5 months. I'm really upset about what's going on. I want a solution.

@Andre_L Here are only users like you. Maybe we can help you if you give us the same information you have given support (but no personal information!).

@Andre_L

I see you have previously posted a very similar question in September last year. Why did you not continue in that thread?

As @SP. says, this is NOT a contact for any Magix staff, it is a user to user forum.

However, having only recently purchased the full Independence Pro Premium package and NOT experienced any problems at all in installing and using it, I think you need to, first, tell us all about your computer. This post will show you the sort of details we really need.

Then, tell us exactly, step by step, what happens when you try to run the installer. Do you see any error messages? If so, please give us the FULL wording of them? I saw the error message in your previous post, and the reply that @SP. gave then. Did you read the article that he linked to? Was it helpful?

Please help us to help you!

@Andre_L Here is the link to your old topic https://www.magix.info/de/forum/problem-independence-pro-premium-library-independence-pro-plus-library--1253942/#ca1583266

Back then I suspected that your problem is caused by a special character in your Windows username.

Hi Jeff, I opened another forum due to the hope that someone can give me a solution. Just as I'm trying to open another ticket that you closed without solving my problem. And now I'm not able to open another ticket because the site has changed and I can't find how to send my question to technical support. The ticket number I opened is [Ticket # Removed by moderator] and I had technical support from Removed by Moderator. Do I need to contact technical support how do I currently do this?

emmrecs wrote on 2/2/2021, 8:03 AM

@Andre_L

Please do not post support ticket numbers or any similar confidential data to a public forum like this one. I have edited your post to remove the number, along with the name of a specific Magix Support person, publication of whose name is forbidden under the Community rules #9.

You have also been told that all who post here are users, just like you so we have not closed any ticket without solving your problem. In my experience, tickets are closed only when, either the problem is resolved OR the customer raising the issue fails to respond within a reasonable time to suggestions made or questions raised by support personnel and they are, therefore, left to assume the ticket can be closed.

I am not aware that any changes have been made to the support structure of the site since your previous post in September 2020. Whichever route you used previously is, as far as I am aware, still fully operational.

However, why not at least try to answer the questions in my previous post? You say you started a new thread due to the hope that someone can give me a solution, but if anyone is to have any chance of giving such a solution, we really need you to give us the details requested.

Ok Let´s go...I have been an independencia user since June 2019 in version 3.5. So far so good, the software worked correctly, used it in Acid Pro Next Suite and REAPER and in all subsequent Acid Pro updates. The problem started when I decided to buy the Samplitude PRO X5 Suite. When I installed this program I had an update to independence 3.6 and I did it, so Independence stopped working on my computer. I uninstalled the program and purchased the most Top version of the Independence Pro Premium Library. However when I install it the library that takes almost a whole day to load the files does not appear when I open Independence Pro Standard. Neither the library option nor the serial number appears, and what is worse, neither the Free library appears. It seems that there is a file blocking my library, the only thing I didn't try was to format my computer, and honestly I don't want to do that. already followed the steps below indicated by the technical assistance and nothing solved ...

Note: I have deleted all independence files through REGEDIT and it does not resolve.

Start Windows "Apps & Features" and search for Independence.

De-install the follwoing entries:

Independence Free

Independence Pro Standart

Independence Pro VST Plugins

Independence Pro Librarie Common Files

Then follow the instructions on the screen.

Check the following folders and delete any existing Independence files. Then empty the recycle bin.

c: \ Users \ All Users \ MAGIX \ Common \ Packages \

c: \ Users \ All Users \ MAGIX \ Independence Libraries \ bundles \

c: \ Program Files (x86) \ Common Files \ MAGIX Services \ Independence Libraries \

c: \ ProgramData \ MAGIX \ Independence Libraries \ bundles \

c: \ Users \ All Users \ MAGIX \ Independence Libraries \ libraries \

c: \ ProgramData \ MAGIX \ Independence Libraries \ libraries \

c: \ Users \ [username] \ AppData \ Roaming \ MAGIX \ Independence \ Preferences \

c: \ Users \ [username] \ AppData \ Local \ MAGIX \ Independence \ Preferences \

c: \ Users \ [username] \ AppData \ Local \ Temp \

Installing the plugin

Restart the installation of Independence Pro Standard.

Download the latest verion here: https://my.hidrive.com/lnk/yWNAPscl

Installing the Library

Restart the installation of the Pro Premium Library

Download the latest version here: https://my.hidrive.com/lnk/RWCgAuUI

My computer is:

Windows 10

Processor: Intel (R) Core (TM) I7-8700 cpu @ 3.20GHz 3.19 GHz

RAM: 16.0 GB (Usable 15.8 GB)

System type: 64-bit

Another important point:

On the Magix website, my profile contains different files than the technical assistance sent me and the email I received when I purchased the installation software product, so I don't know which one to use.

Magix website:

Purchase email:

@Andre_L I can tell you that Independence 3.6 that comes with Samplitude ONLY works inside Samplitude and NOT in any other software. That is why it stopped working in Acid and Reaper.

You need to download and install version 3.5. If you right click on independence_softwaresuite_32_dlm.exe and click on properties and then on details you should see the version. It should read 3.5.0.286. Please check this first.

Andre_L wrote on 2/2/2021, 9:29 AM

@SP thanks for the feedback. So the version is 3.5.0.286, yes. However, it is important to note that the independence after the installation of the samplitude library did not work in any software.

SP. wrote on 2/2/2021, 9:33 AM

@Andre_L Did I understand you correctly that you now have installed version 3.5.0.286 and it doesn't work in Acid and Reaper?

Andre_L wrote on 2/2/2021, 9:44 AM

@SP, I installed all possible versions, I don't even know which one is installed at that moment, I believe it is 3.6 because I left the most updated as indicated by technical support. If you can tell me which 3 files are right for me to get Acid and Reaper to work perfectly, it would be good. Then I would clean up all the files on my independence computer and start an installation from scratch. For independence pro, would this file "independence_softwaresuite_32_dlm.exe" be correct and which files would be for the Free library and Pro Premium?

However, the answer is yes I installed version 3.5.0.286 and as libraries did not work for Acid and Reaper. But I was using the files at random ... so I don't know if the library was the right one either.

SP. wrote on 2/2/2021, 10:11 AM

@Andre_L Like I said, do not use version 3.6. Look in the file properties of independence_softwaresuite_32_dlm.exe and check if it the version is  3.5.0.286. This is the correct installer.

Your installed library should look like this:

  • Independence Pro (Main folder)
    • image files
      • Independence Content Image File 01.ytif
      • Independence Content Image File 02.ytif
      • ... all other files ...
      • Independence Content Image File 76.ytif
    • layers
      • Independence Pro - Instruments
        • 01 Acoustic Drum Kits
          • many ytil-files
        • 02 Electronic Drum Kits
          • many ytil-files
        • ... all other folders ...
        • Yellow Tools Majestic
          • many ytil-files

DO NOT DELETE YOUR LIBRARY. Just make a backup of the complete library folder. This should be about 64,8 GB in size. You do not need to redownload it later if you back it up.

  1. After you have installed version 3.5.0.286 start Independence.
  2. Then go to preferences -> libraries ->add library -> navigate to your Independence Pro folder and open it so you see the image files and layers subfolders and then click on open.
  3. The libary will then be added to the list of libraries.
  4. Then click in the layers section where it says "click here to load instrument" and click on "rebuild menu".
  5. Then click again on "click here to load instruments" and then you can select your instruments.
  6. If your library isn't registered yet a registration pop up window should open as soon as your selected instruments loads.
  7. Enter your Independece Pro Suite Serial number.
Andre_L wrote on 2/2/2021, 10:47 AM

Analyzing what you have guided. The "image files" folder is OK. I'm having problems with the library's layers folder. Only the folder "01 Acoustic Drum Kits" appears and it is empty for Independence Pro. And for independence Free only the folder "01 Acoustic & Electronic Drum Kits" appears and it is also empty. I deleted the entire library when I uninstalled Independence Pro. That may be the problem. How do I have all folders with file in the layers folder. The Independence Pro folder is 64.4 GB. The Independence Free folder is 2.0 GB.

SP. wrote on 2/2/2021, 10:57 AM

@Andre_L If I'm remembering correctly you can make a repair install with the library installer. It just redownloads the ytil-files you are missing (about 400 MB). It should skip the remaining 64.4 GB you already have. But make a backup of your folder just in case that the installer deletes your ytif-files.

The free library is part of the full library. You don't need it, if you have the complete library. But you can use the free library to test your Independence "add library" feature because it can be downloaded much faster.

Edit: I sent you a private message.

For anyone that is interested in a solution to this problem:

You have to use the following installers

independence_pro_premium_library_dlm.exe, independence_freelibrary_dlm.exe and independence_pro_standard_dlm.exe

Do not use other installers or Independence will not run outside of Samplitude!

Each installer must run from start to finish. In this case the installer didn't run from start to finish. It showed an error message: Couldn't find the file "" in the zip file! and stopped.

This error message was very likely caused by the username Andre_L chose for the Windows user account. It seems that the installer cannot handle special characters.

A second Windows user account was created with only simple letters and numbers used for the name.

The Independence installation ran fine with the new account. As a result Independence now also works in the original user account.
