Hi

More information is needed:

Can you post the setion of the error log from the line that starts with the date and time to and including the errorfor tha last attempt at burning.  Note do not post the entire log file - it may contain many successful burns - we need only the failed one.

The log file dbk.log is located in

C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Roaming\MAGIX\Program version\

where    UserName= the name you logon to your computer

and       Program version = the name of the program

Hi

Thanks for the log file.

The clock setting on your computer appears to be way out - it appears to have stepped back over 10 years !

The error 16 is occurring before any video gets rendered therefore there are three possibilities:

  1. The ASUS burner is faulty

  2. The burner firmware need updating

or  - and the more likely

  3.  MEP 2015 burn routines do not recognise or set it up correctly.

Try updating the Burn routines with those available here  - you may have to login with your username and password.

Updating the burner firmware is a last resort option to try unless ASUS say otherwise.

Tip: to save money and creating coasters use rewriteable discs DVD-RW or BD-RE for your initial burns and testing, copy / burn to permanent disc and then re-use the rewriteables.

Hi John

Thanks for response, yes the computers time was wrong as it had not been used for sometime ,possibly 2 years ? so I had to reset date.

With regard to updating the burn routine ,I tried to open the translation page in English (currently in German ,I think) but it comes up ' page not available in English ' Help ??

Thanks

HI

It looks like the original file I pointed to has been removed or renamed to the standard convention used for versioning.

Try this link

Hi

Can you successfully create an ISO image if you use the Image Recorder option, instead of the DVD burner, in the Burn dialog ?

Hi

Can you post the section of the error log for this attempt please.

Do you have any all-in-one codec packs eg K-Lite etc installed?
