Pro X5 Suite upgrade - Sound Forge for macOS?

Hi. I’m considering upgrading to the Pro X5 Suite, and wondered if the included version of Sound Forge will work on macOS? I’m assuming the Convology and SpectraLayers are both cross-platform.

Welcome to the Magix forums.

Samplitude Pro X5 is Windows-only. Sound Forge has different versions for Windows and MAC but please read this post for the reason why it cannot be installed or run under OSX Catalina.

Actually, my upgrade price is still a good deal, for Convology, SpectraLayers, RX7 Elements, Ozone 9 Elements, Melodyne Essentials and the coreFX Suite, all of which will work on macOS. I can see if X5 will work on my ancient Windows laptop as an added bonus!

I suspect that if you upgrade to Samplitude Pro X5, all those "extras" will also be the Windows versions, not the MAC versions! (I'm assuming each OS has its own installer for these apps.)

Thanks Jeff. I bought yesterday, and can confirm that all the extras are cross platform (although a couple need to be downloaded manually on macOS).

Very pleased, other than how I got a pop up on my Windows machine this morning to tell me that a new version of Sound Forge has been released today...
