Preview Screen is blank

Regarding Magix Movie Editor pro MX

I have one segment of video and one picture in my timeline. When I press play in my trial version, the orange line moves along (although it’s jerky) and I can hear sound from the video in my timeline, however I cannot see the video or pictures in the upper preview screen/program monitor. Note: this happens whether or not I choose “adjust” when importing the video. I have tried “Reset Window Arrangement”, but it does nothing.

My operating system is Windows XP and I have an HP m1160n

Thanks!

Hi

More information is needed - your full computer spec and the type of video you are importing ie HD, SD etc. However I think the problem is your computer not the software.

The only information I can find on the m1160n shows it is about 5-6years old with a single core AMD 64 processor which means your computer is seriously under spec for use with MEP MX particularly if you are editing HD.

As a minimum you need an Intel quad core processor with 4Gb RAM and ATI or NVidia graphics card.

Note it would appear that there is no reference to AMD processor machines.
