every time i boot up; i am bombarded with purchase adds; all i want to is do simple recording; i could care less about sound pools and junk music; how doe one avoid that start up media!

@BARRY-SOUTHERLIN You can just disable it in the program settings. Popups that are displayed during the start of your computer are shown by the Update Notifier. You need to uninstall this program or disable it in the Windows Autostart list. This program was installed during the installation of Music Maker if you just clicked on 'Next' instead of configuring the installation.
