I created a video in Movie Edit Pro and I imported the video into Acid Pro 10 so I could add audio tracks. When I render the final product in Acid Pro 10 the video quality is very poor. Any way to fix? I am rendering as an .mp4 file.
I don't have ACID so can't comment on the output quality of video which it produces but, if I needed to do something similar I would use the video track in the DAW, in your case ACID, as a guide. Once the audio/music tracks were finished I would mixdown/export only those music tracks as a stereo file and then reopen the video in MEP, add the newly-created audio track(s) there and then export the whole video with audio.
Thank you @emmrecs. I rendered just the audio as .mp4 and loaded it into MEP, but for some reason the audio file wont play. I muted the audio associated with the video track and loaded the audio I want as track two and nothing :(. Any suggestions?
Have you tried rendering the audio from Acid as .wav, rather than .mp4? The latter is a "container" format, i.e. the codecs used in the particular export may NOT be ones that MEP can access. OTOH, "wav" is a universal format which MEP is very happy to use! Just ensure it is 48kHz sample rate and, preferably, 16 bit.
