Please watch the demo video to understand what is being explained.

Soundforge versions 13/16.

This is happening on multiple computers with multiple versions of Magix Sound Forge. Excuse the tonality in the video, but forking over nearly a total of nearly $300 for separate versions of this product with the issues being demonstrated in the video is annoying. It's even more annoying when the earlier versions under Sony's umbrella (and even Sonic Foundry's) didn't have these issues.

You are not alone. Sound Forge has issues it didn't have before. It's sad to see Sound Forge getting worse with each new release. Magix fails to resolve the issues.

@Michael-Lopez

Hi

Assuming the audio is MP3 try the following:

Click OptionsPreferencesGeneral and check the box 'Always proxy compressed formats'.

Yes, as @johnebaker suggested, try the 'proxy' setting in "Options> Preferences> General". Alternately, there is a "use legacy MP3" setting in the 'Internal' menu, though I do not know if this would help in your case and the option does not exist SF-13.

Regarding x-fades and moving songs around, if you are not already aware, using the 'Event' mode works very well. It is very similar to editing with Vegas. Some of the keyboard shortcuts are the same .. 'Split' for instance.

I certainly understand your frustration @Michael-Lopez, I cannot even use SF-16 or 17 for most of my work due to the ongoing 32 bit VST plug-in issues.
btw, If you wish to address Magix directly with your displeasure, contact support. This is a users forum.
