Plugins expired on Samplitude Pro X3 suite

CosmicOutpost wrote on 11/19/2018, 2:34 PM

I thought I'd finally got rid of all the trail pop-up boxes when I upgraded to the full Samplitude ProX 3 suite but no. It seems ALL the plugins listed like Vandal the full version have expired. I was pretty sure I followed in the install instructions and loaded everything correctly but now Samplitude is telling me I have to buy them again? Only the ones that came with a separate serial number in the activation email like Melodyne work. Very frustrating. Please does anyone know how to make the plugins for which I have already paid work again? Thanks

For which Magix program were these now expired plug ins originally supplied? Do you still have that program installed?

I suspect from the information you've given, that the now-expired plug ins actually were part of an older program which you had and have now uninstalled. Hence, they have "lost" their original host and so see your new install of Samplitude Pro X Suite 3 as in some way not compatible. You could perhaps try and reinstall the old program, even if you never use it again.

OTOH, I could very well be completely wrong so I would also suggest you register at and post to the dedicated Samplitude forum here.

Thanks to the way the magix plugins work I have most of them multiple times but already spread across Music Maker, Samplitude and Vegas. It's a pain keeping tract of what program to use for each effect. I got the full Pro X3 suite so they would be full versions (vandal & Variverb) and all in one place like Ecox and Desser so pretty they are not suppose to run out!

I've joined the Samplitude board so might give that a go. Thanks!

CosmicOutpost, did you ever find a solution to this? I have the same issue, I have Samplitude Pro x4 suite which activated the analog modeling suite, (this is still installed on my system) I up graded to Pro x5 Suite and now when opening a song that was recorded with Pro x4 I get "PLUGIN EXPIRED" message when opening up AM-Trak that was on a couple of tracks. If I open the song in Pro x4 everything is fine. Need to figure out how I can use all of these on Pro x5 Samplitude really falls down when it comes to upgrading their software. When I upgrade I should not lose anything, in retrospect I should only gain as its and UPGRADE!!!!!!! DA!

I'm using Samplitude less and less these day as it seems to fail in the basic things I want it to do but in answer to your question, the plugin browser helped. Activated plugins should be found by the vendor Magix, the inactive ones from X4 should be listed as VST_ if I recall correctly. Look carefully at the names in plugin manager and you should see the difference.

It would be great if Magix could have a universal license to use plugins across it's applications. Must look into what rewire can do.
