PLEASE HELP VEGAS PRO 18

Carleton-King wrote on 5/13/2021, 5:08 PM

My Vegas Pro 18 alerted me of a new update that was available. I downloaded it. NOW ITS ACTING CRAZY!

When ever I go to trim or cut a video in the timeline, the preview window becomes super distorted and glitchy. Nothing I do fixes it. If I restart the program it fixes it until I make another cut or trim then its back to being impossible to see anything in the preview window. Please help. I have a lot of important projects to work on and I can't edit like this.

I would love to just revert back to the version I had originally downloaded in January but I don't know how. And I don't know what the different versions are called or what this current one is. I'm not that great with all the inner workings of the system stuff. I just know how to edit fairly well. I'm panicking right now. I have stuff I've already been paid to do that I can't complete.

And I can't find any way to contact customer support on the phone. Please help!!!

@Carleton-King

Hi and welcome to the forum - albeit the wrong one.

Can you tell us how you came to this forum? We are getting many users of Vegas Pro and Vegas Movie Studio arriving here only to be re-directed to the correct forum.

We would appreciate the feedback on this.

Vegas products have their own forum see the Important posts here.

Thanks

I apologize. I was eventually able to find the correct forum and get a little bit of help from other users.

I ended up here on the Magix forum because they own Vegas Pro. Even though they section it off as a standalone product because they acquired it from Sony. While googling how to get in contact with customer service this was one of the top results. There doesn't appear to be any phone numbers or e-mail addresses you can contact when you're truly in need of help. So naturally you end up posting on any site that seems remotely related in hopes that someone can help you with your crashing software.

@Carleton-King

Hi

Thanks for the feedback - we get quite a few Vegas users here by the route you took, if you had searched for Vegas Pro forum it would have appeared top of the list in Google. Magix are aware of the problem.

There should also be a link to the Vegas forum under Help in the program.

I will close this post
