Playback starts from beginning of track

Usually I don't have a problem with this but I've encountered it in a track I've been working on where I want to listen to playback of a certain portion of a song, and no matter where I put the start marker, it always starts playback from the beginning and I'm not sure how to make the audio play from where I've set the start marker rather than the beginning. Any help would be appreciated.

I'm using Music Maker (64 bit) Version 31.0.2.21 on a laptop running Windows 11 Home.
