Playback pauses and no sound on youtube

nali-l wrote on 12/1/2018, 1:56 AM

When I play back the tracks and audio recording I layered on top, the red marker line only plays a section of the entire song and pauses and goes back to the beginning and stops playing. What can be done to solve this issue? Also I notice that whenever I have MusicMaker open and then try to play youtube videos on my computer, all the youtube videos end up having no sound. What is the cause of this and what can be done?

You need to change your audio settings. Music Maker grabs the soundcard and doesn't allow access by other programs. If you select Direct Sound it should work. However there can still be problems depending on what you are doing mainly with hearing anything when recording midi note information.

I use an external audio interface and that works without problems.

@nali-l

Hi, welcome to the Magix forums.

When I play back the tracks and audio recording I layered on top, the red marker line only plays a section of the entire song and pauses and goes back to the beginning and stops playing.

See my screen shot below (the top of the work screen). Make sure the range marker, the yellow line/box, is set for the whole of your composition. I suspect it currently only covers the part that plays and ignores the rest.

@emmrecs My yellow line/box does cover the entire composition.

Then drag the right side to the right, or double-click on it until it covers the entire project. Read the manual. This is a range bar that loops back when the playback marker gets to the end of the range.

@browj2 @emmrecs the problem is with the audio recording. I recorded my voice on it so somehow when i play the entire set with my audio recording, it stops after that section, but when i mute the audio/voice, the problem goes away. But why is my audio/voice the cause of the issue and how can i fix it?

No idea. Can you post a screen shot?

Which version of MusicMaker are you using? See under Help, About.
