So I try to play, record add a loop anything... it will go for 1.02 seconds and stop... everytime PLEASE help!!!
No its not the yellow bar at the top its all the way to the end.
I used this program on an older HP laptop (2020 Edition) no problems other then some lag. I have a much more powerful computer now and should be fine... its a republic of gamers laptop running intel core i7 on windows 10.. also weird that it isnt picking up my mic... if this info is necessary.

@durddi Has your new laptop an audiointerface or just the common Realtek audio chipset? If it just has a cheap chipset, it isn't more powerful for audio processing.
Please make a screenshot of your Music Maker Audio/MIDI settings and please also make a screenshot of the dialog that shows if you click on the "Advanced..."-button.

Did you use the new serial you should have received to activate the program?
If not, it is running with the MMM 2020 serial number and is effectively running as the free version, missing the features and functionality of 2021.
If you did activate with the new serial number did you download and install all the Extra Content that became available in the Downloads tab - if not do so - this is essential to update the features, functionality and Instruments.
If you upgraded to the Plus edition you will not be able to use the 32 bit instruments that came with MMM 2020 as you will be missing the VST-Bridge which is included in the Premium version, though you can purchase this separately.

In Windows 10 setting, Privacy, Microphone option ensure that Microphone access for Desktop apps is turned on as shown below

im really not sure why but the issue is happening again.. it also made my computer download soundforge a second time.. and although it sent me serial numbers for sound forge ect. I never recieved a serial number for the 2021 version.... even when i look at my account under my stuff or w.e......
overly frustrated now and may be requesting a refund... im so tired of these issues and just wanna make music

If there are multiple serial numbers in the confirmation email what products are they for and what characters/ numbers they begin with up to the first hyphen or if just numbers the first 3 - do not post the complete serial numbers?

iZotope Ozone Elements v8. and sound forge were the only 2 serial numbers..and as i said i had it working yesterday...today it made me download sound forge again and is not working.. it did not come with the magix 2021 SN however...
in the main screen however..it still asks me for my premium 2021 SN and a button that says activate...
the sound forge SN seems very similar to the 2020 magix one i have so i attempted that and it tells me i have all the available downloads for that SN
So i have dug a little further and found some weird stuff..... i have a purchase order email confirming my upgrade to magix music maker premium 2021.... however when i sign into the magix website in order to find the SN... the only SN it is offering is the 2020 premium SN...... so its like they are having glitches with the fact that i upgraded..... and that is what is causing this glitch to continue happening in the 2021 premium edition.... i think?
The email you received confirming the purchase of the 2021 upgrade would have included the new serial number required to fully activate the 2021 version. That is the number you need to enter to the MM activation/registration screen.
Only when that is done and fully registered will your 2021 serial number be visible in your account.

how ever as with the email i sent to support.... the email did not come with the SN.....

Not just cryptic, but totally confusing. Your thread has morphed from a recording problem to upgrading Music Maker. There is no Magix SN; there is no product called Magix; there is no product called just Premium. Please use the correct names of the programs. "It" made you download again? "It" did not come with.... We don't know what "it" is each time. You know what you are talking about, but we don't. Clarity helps.
Please don't mix in other programs or purchases (Sound Forge, iZotope) that have nothing to do with the topic - getting Music Maker to work; this just makes the message more confusing. Unless you mean Sound Forge Audio Studio that comes with the Upgrade to Music Maker Premium. Sound Forge by itself would be construed as the Pro version, not Sound Forge Audio Studio.
When you purchase something, like Music Maker Premium 2021, you will receive an email with the SN. Until you actually activate this SN in Music Maker, it will not show up in your account as far as I know. If you do not see the email that would have been sent immediately after paying for Music Maker Premium 2021, then check your spam box.
